A 29-year-old male apparently was swept away by the rip currents in a beach behind Ashford Hospital in Condado. The individual was in regular clothing and carrying his wallet when found in the water.
Wider weather episode
A fresh east-southeast wind flow created choppy seas along the local waters. This triggered moderate rip current risk along the north-facing beaches of Puerto Rico.
