Strong and gusty southwesterly winds impacted the Antelope Valley. Some peak wind reports from the local mesonet include: Cruthers Creek (gust 80 MPH), Juniper Mesa (gust 69 MPH), Fort Tejon Road (gust 67 MPH), Palmdale Airport (gust 64 MPH) and Lake Palmdale RAWS (gust 60 MPH).

Wider weather episode

An early season winter storm brought strong winds and mountain snow to the area. Peak wind gusts in the mountains of Los Angeles county reached 97 MPH while gusts up to 80 MPH were reported across the Antelope Valley. In the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties, winter storm conditions were observed with the strong winds and snowfall accumulations up to around 12 inches above 7000 feet.
