Strong and gusty southwesterly winds impacted the mountains of San Luis Obispo county. Wind gusts of 58 MPH were reported at Mount Lowe.
Wider weather episode
An early season winter storm brought strong winds and mountain snow to the area. Peak wind gusts in the mountains of Los Angeles county reached 97 MPH while gusts up to 80 MPH were reported across the Antelope Valley. In the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties, winter storm conditions were observed with the strong winds and snowfall accumulations up to around 12 inches above 7000 feet.
