Strong and gusty Santa Ana winds impacted the Santa Monica Mountains. Some peak northeasterly wind gusts from the local mesonet include: Boney Mountain (gust 74 MPH), Deer Creek Canyon (gust 64 MPH) and Sandstone Peak (gust 58 MPH).
Wider weather episode
Very strong and gusty Santa Ana winds impacted many areas of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Peak wind gusts in excess of 100 MPH were reported in the mountains with gusts between 60 and 80 MPH across other sections of Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
