Freezing temperatures between 28 to 32 degrees were recorded across the zone, with several locations experiencing freezing temperatures between midnight and 0800 PDT. Several towns in the zone, including Redmond, Bend, and Madras all recorded freezing temperatures for at least 2 hours.

Wider weather episode

Clearing skies and a cooler airmass in place post upper trough passage resulted in freezing temperatures developing across central Oregon on the morning of October 23rd.
