Winter Storm in Banner, Nebraska

Multiple sources reported widespread snowfall totals in excess of 5 inches across Banner County, with isolated maximum amounts near 6 inches.

Widespread light to moderate snow developed across the western Nebraska Panhandle during the evening hours on November 28th, persisting through the morning of the 29th. Total snowfall accumulations of 3 to 6 inches were common, with local amounts of 6-7 inches observed along sections of the Cheyenne Ridge in Banner county, where narrow heavier bands resulted in periods of snowfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour late in the evening on the 28th into early on the 29th.
