Severe (D2) drought conditions deteriorated to extreme (D3) drought conditions over all of Loup county by the end of October.

Abnormally dry and warm conditions continued across western and north central Nebraska in October. Drought conditions deteriorated across all of western and north central Nebraska. With the exception of moderate (D1) drought conditions in most of Sheridan County, all of western and north central Nebraska had drought conditions ranging from severe (D2) to exceptional (D4) drought by the end of October.
