Mesonet Station 1SSW McCamey reported a 65 mph thunderstorm wind gust.

Elevated showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of a closed upper-level low over Arizona behind a stalled cold front across West Texas. These storms produced locally heavy rainfall and localized severe winds across portions of the Lower Trans Pecos as storms crossed back over the cold front.
