The Lolo Pass SNOTEL recorded heavy snow with 3 inches falling from 1400 to 1500PST. Other snow amounts include: 5.6 inches at Dixie and 8 inches at the Twin Lakes SNOTEL.

Wider weather episode

An upper level wave and associated cold front brought heavy snow to the region. A second wave initiated snow bands on the 27th.
