Very heavy snow rates were observed by SNOTEL stations and the webcam at Grangemont corroborated this. The Hemlock Butte SNOTEL picked up close to 10 inches of snow in 9 hours.

Wider weather episode

An anomalous moisture plume brought over a foot of snow to the mountains while a combination of snow and wind brought high impact to the Camas Prairie.
