Event narrative

Snow accumulated between 6 and 10 inches.

Wider weather episode

A complex winter storm moved through Northeastern Pennsylvania on the 15th and 16th. Precipitation started out as freezing mix for some areas and snow for others. Any mix became mostly snow during the day of the 15th. Travel conditions became hazardous, especially during the evening commute, as snow accumulated on roadways. Some locations received a break from the snow overnight before it picked back up on the 16th due to a storm moving north along the Atlantic coast. Snow came to an end early on 17th. While most of the highest snowfall totals were east of I-81, there were locations west that also received significant snowfall.
