Event narrative

A brief tornado crossed Hwy 149 about a mile southeast of Racetrack Road, southeast of the town of McRae in Telfair County. The tornado was on the ground for less than a 1/2 mile and snapped or uprooted trees along its path.

A strong cold front pushed through central Georgia on the evening of October 12th, producing showers and embedded strong to isolated severe thunderstorms.
