Event narrative

In Westerly between 713 AM and 715 AM, Twitter video revealed coastal flooding on both Atlantic Avenue and Watch Hill Road. In Narragansett at 806 AM, coastal flooding caused Foddering Farm Road at Harbour Island Road to be flooded and impassable...and at 810 AM, Beach Street was flooded with water up to garages. In North Kingstown at 815 AM, Wickford Cove was flooded and impassable, with up to 2 feet of inundation.

Low pressure deepened rapidly as it tracked through the eastern Great Lakes.

The storm produced damaging southeast to south winds across much of southern New England and minor to moderate coastal flooding the east and south coasts. Two to 3.5 inches of rain fell across much of RI and interior MA.
