EF0 Tornado — Calhoun, South Carolina

Event narrative
A National Weather Service survey team confirmed a brief EF-0 tornado with peak
winds of 75 mph in western Calhoun County. The tornado briefly developed east of
Ott Sisters Road before crossing Sweetbay Road. Several pine trees were snapped
and uprooted in a small wooded area, only producing damage for 200 yards. The
damage was further corroborated with a short lived debris signature on the KCAE
radar.
Wider weather episode
A prefrontal band of showers and thunderstorms produced some wind damage, as well as several tornadoes in the central Midlands of SC in the morning.
