Event narrative

Generally 5 to 10 inches of snow fell across the area with locally higher amounts up to 14 inches reported in the foothills.

Wider weather episode

The final shortwave trough associated with a prolonged atmospheric river event trekked across western Colorado. Continued abundant moisture paired with favorable orographics resulted in moderate to heavy snow for the mountains as well as some southern and central valleys. Winds gusted up to 50 mph at times in the mountains and up to 35 mph in the valleys.
