The Washington DOT station TRYEG Ryegrass Summit recorded temperatures at or below freezing between 0200PST and 0800 PST. The mesonet station EW4750 Ellensburg recorded temperatures at or below freezing between 0200 PST and 0745 PST.

Wider weather episode

A trough over the region and northerly winds aloft pushed a cold airmass into the region, with the northern valley zones feeling the impacts by the morning of November 2nd. This airmass infiltration resulted in areas of the Yakima and Kittitas valleys experiencing morning temperatures at or below the freezing mark for several hours.
