Snow Squall. NWS employee located 4 miles north of East Helena reported visibility down to less than half a block with estimated wind gusts of 40 mph. Minimal snow accumulation occurred due to the wind.

Wider weather episode

Several snow squalls impacted much of the area as bands of snow crossed major highways and interstates, resulting in gusty wind, bursts of heavy snow and very poor visibility.
