Colleton County Emergency Management reported homes on Edisto Beach experiencing broken water lines due to cold weather conditions over the Christmas holiday. The broken pipes caused water tanks to drain and affected water pressure for the town. A boil water advisory was issued due to low water pressure. The coldest temperatures dropped into the upper teens to around 20 degrees based on nearby observations.
