Extreme (D3) drought conditions persisted through the end of November. The cooperative observer at Purdum reported 0.15 inches of precipitation for November. This was 0.46 inches below the normal of 0.61 inches.
Wider weather episode
Dry conditions continued across western and north central Nebraska in November. By the end of the month, exceptional (D4) drought conditions had expanded into most of Brown, northern Rock and southeastern Cherry County. Extreme (D3) drought conditions expanded into Hooker, McPherson, and eastern portions of Arthur and Grant Counties.
