The AWOS station KRLD measured a gust of 63 mph at 0015PDT on November 5th and the mesonet station XKEL measured a gust of 59mph at 0047PDT on November 5th.
Wider weather episode
A strong cold front pushed through the region during the afternoon on November 4th into the morning hours of November 5th accompanied by a strong low level jet and tight surface pressure gradient. The strongest winds occurred late on the evening of November 4th and on the early morning of November 5th.
