A winter storm brought heavy snow to portions of Whatcom County at the end of November. The highest reports were around Sumas where about 5 inches of new snow was reported.

Wider weather episode

An early season winter snow brought heavy snow to portions of the lowlands. Deep upper level troughing along with Fraser outflow near the surface supplied the proper set up for winter weather. Dynamic cooling also played a major role in areas of heaviest snow, especially around Kitsap, King, and Snohomish Counties.
