2022-11-29 to 2022-11-30 · Western Skagit County, Washington
Event narrative
A winter storm brought heavy snow to portions of Western Skagit County at the end of November. While most areas at lowest elevation received less than an inch of snow, locations such as Lyman received about 5 inches of new snow.
Wider weather episode
An early season winter snow brought heavy snow to portions of the lowlands. Deep upper level troughing along with Fraser outflow near the surface supplied the proper set up for winter weather. Dynamic cooling also played a major role in areas of heaviest snow, especially around Kitsap, King, and Snohomish Counties.
