Heavy Snow — Bellevue and Vicinity, Washington

2022-11-29 to 2022-11-30 · Bellevue and Vicinity, Washington

Event narrative

A winter storm brought heavy snow to portions of the Bellevue areas. In general around 3-4 inches of new snow was reported, generally around the Kirkland and Woodinville areas, with around 2 inches reported south of Bellevue towards Renton.

Wider weather episode

An early season winter snow brought heavy snow to portions of the lowlands. Deep upper level troughing along with Fraser outflow near the surface supplied the proper set up for winter weather. Dynamic cooling also played a major role in areas of heaviest snow, especially around Kitsap, King, and Snohomish Counties.
