A report 30 miles W of Maupin, OR from the Oregon Dept. of Transportation indicated 12 inches of new snow in a 21 hour period ending at 0606 PST on Nov. 28th. The SNOTEL site Hogg Pass measured 10 inches of new snow between 0400 Nov. 27th and 0900 Nov. 28th.

A strong upper level trough moving through the region and northwest flow aloft resulted in moderate to heavy snow accumulations across the mountains in northeast Oregon and the east slopes of the Cascades in Oregon between Nov. 27th and 28th. Snow amounts of 8 to 12 inches were reported in some mountain zones.
