Event narrative

The SNOTEL site Beaver Reservoir measured 9 inches of new snow in a 24 hour period ending at 1200 PST on Nov. 28th. The SNOTEL site County Line measured 8 inches of new snow in a 13 hour period ending at 1300 PST on Nov. 28th.

Wider weather episode

A strong upper level trough moving through the region and northwest flow aloft resulted in moderate to heavy snow accumulations across the mountains in northeast Oregon and the east slopes of the Cascades in Oregon between Nov. 27th and 28th. Snow amounts of 8 to 12 inches were reported in some mountain zones.
