Heavy rain caused a rockslide that spread across Highway 299 leading to a truck accident.

Wider weather episode

An upper disturbance moved east across Northwest California during early to mid December. Locally heavy low-elevation rainfall was observed, along with areas of heavy mountain snow. Impacts due to falling trees occurring with periods of strong gusty winds were also observed.
