Event narrative

Magee Peak station reported a gust of 66 MPH. Along I-90, there were reports of gusts into the 50s and small limb and roof shingles being lost.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving system started to impact the region on November 4 and lasted through November 7. A cold front pushed across the region on Nov 4 bringing light snow and strong winds. The winds generally ranged from the 30s to 40s MPH. A few locations received gusts into the 50s. It knocked down trees and caused power outages. A local business was damaged in Post Falls. The following Arctic air brought the first significant snow fall for the region through Nov 7. Snow amounts across the region were 4 to 10 inches for the through the period.
