Event narrative

The storm brought a foot of snow to the village of Noatak. The Red Dog mine reported several inches of snow fell; however, blowing snow made it difficult to measure.

Wider weather episode

A weather front associated with a strong low in the Bering Sea brought heavy snow to portions of northwest Alaska from the 28th to 30th of November. This system also brought high winds to the area as it moved through.
