A Native Corp official reported in Wainwright reported 6 inches of snow fell in the 24 hour period. Near blizzard conditions were reported at Cape Lisburne with gusts of 70 knots at times.

Wider weather episode

A weather front associated with a strong low in the Bering Sea brought heavy snow to portions of northwest Alaska from the 28th to 30th of November. This system also brought high winds to the area as it moved through.
