Winter Storm — Crawford, Michigan
2022-11-19 to 2022-11-20 · Crawford, Michigan
Wider weather episode
Longwave troughing encompassing much of the northeast CONUS continued to pivot over the region for several days, providing support for a weak area of low pressure to slide across southern Ontario. This system provided southwesterly lake enhanced snowfall across the Tip of the Mitt and the far eastern upper peninsula 11/18 into 11/19. Low-level winds then shifted more westerly/west-northwesterly later in the day 11/19, refocusing lake effect snowfall to the typical lake effect snowbelts. Snowfall amounts in the 8-10 inch range was measured across much of northwest lower and eastern upper Michigan.
