Winter Storm — Presque Isle, Michigan

2022-11-30 · Presque Isle, Michigan

Wider weather episode

An impressive trough progressed over the Great Lakes 11/30, providing strong ascent aloft to support a sub-980mb cyclone near Hudson Bay. Strong westerly winds gusting from 30-50 mph across much of northern Michigan combined with lake effect snow to create rapid reductions in visibility and hazardous driving conditions. Presque Isle county was most impacted by these conditions, measuring 6 inches of snow in about a 10 hour period.
