Over the southeastern half of Deuel County, exceptional (D4) drought conditions persisted through the end of November. Over the northwestern half of the county, extreme (D3) drought conditions continued through the end of the month. The cooperative observer at Chappell reported 0.24 inches of precipitation for November.
Wider weather episode
Dry conditions continued across western and north central Nebraska in November. By the end of the month, exceptional (D4) drought conditions had expanded into most of Brown, northern Rock and southeastern Cherry County. Extreme (D3) drought conditions expanded into Hooker, McPherson, and eastern portions of Arthur and Grant Counties.
