An estimated 3 to 6 inches of snow fell across the area. Travel was significantly impacted along Highway 139 including across Douglas Pass.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving cold front progressed across northwest and west-central Colorado. Favorable orographics paired with the development of stronger bands of snow resulted in moderate to heavy accumulations for the northern and central mountains as well as some valleys.
