A wind gust of 83 mph was recorded at the SNOWBASIN - STRAW TOP mesonet site. Wind gusts of 78 mph were recorded at the Powder Mountain mesonet site and the Peter Sinks Rim mesonet site.
Wider weather episode
Wind gusts exceeded 50 mph over much of Utah, with gusts peaking at over 100 mph over some mountain locations, as a winter storm tracked into the Plains.
