A wind gust of 101 mph was recorded at the Chepeta RAWS. A wind gust of 97 mph was recorded at the Windy Peak mesonet site, and a gust of 85 mph was recorded at the Lofty Lake Peak mesonet site.

Wider weather episode

Wind gusts exceeded 50 mph over much of Utah, with gusts peaking at over 100 mph over some mountain locations, as a winter storm tracked into the Plains.
