Widespread snowfall reports across the county of 5 to 7 inches over an approximate five-hour period. Schools were closed throughout Iron County on the 15th due to impacts from the wet heavy snow.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system moving through the Upper Great Lakes brought periods of freezing rain, sleet and snow to Upper Michigan from the 14th into the 15th. Moderate to heavy snow fell on the 15th.
