Several locations reported minimum temperatures between 28 and 31 degrees on February 18.

Wider weather episode

A stream of high clouds kept minimum temperatures above the freezing mark across most of the San Joaquin Valley during the morning of February 17. However, skies cleared out toward daybreak during the early morning of February 18 while cold and dry airmass and light winds prevailed over the area. As a result, temperatures dropped below the freezing mark across portions of the central and eastern San Joaquin Valley for a few hours during the morning of February 18.
