At 112 AM EST, a Weatherflow station at Fogland Beach in Tiverton, RI recorded a wind gust to 58 mph. At 118 AM EST, a NOAA PORTS station located at Conimicut Light recorded a wind gust to 61 mph.

The wider storm

A southerly low-level jet ahead of an approaching cold front moved across southeastern New England shortly after midnight on January 26th. A low pressure system tracked northeast along the front from roughly Philadelphia to Boston during the overnight hours, producing some light snow inland but 1 to 2.5 inches of rain and strong/high wind in Rhode Island, southeast Massachusetts, and the adjacent coastal waters.

Began near Warwick Light (41.7200, -71.3400).
