Light to moderate snow fell across Yuma County producing total snow accumulations ranging from 1.5 to 6 inches across the county. The highest snow accumulation was reported at 2 miles north-northwest of Kirk, Colorado. At times, the snowfall reduced visibility to around three quarters of a statute mile. U.S. Highway 36 was reported closed from the Kansas/Colorado border to the Yuma/Washington county border due to the snow. Key Impacts: heavy snow, transportation delays, road closures.

During the night of December 28th, East-Central Colorado saw rainfall turn to snowfall as temperatures cooled behind a cold front that moved through the area. Snowfall totals ranged from 1 inch up to 7 inches within the region. The Colorado Department of Transportation closed highways and roads within the areas seeing snowfall as a safety precaution. The snowfall lasted into the afternoon hours of December 29th.
