The wider storm

A wave of wintry precipitation developed to the north of a frontal boundary with temperatures near or just below freezing. This resulted in a period of freezing rain, sleet, and snow. Ice accumulations totaled a coating to a few hundredths of an inch and snow accumulations totaled a coating to one inch.
