A trained spotter 1 mile west of White Salmon, WA measured 4 inches of new snow at 1800 PST on Dec. 8th.

AN upper level trough and surface frontal passage resulted in heavy snow occurring in the higher terrain of the Eastern Columbia River Gorge, near the east slopes of the Cascade mountain range.
