A dangerous wind event occurred during this period, affecting much south central and southeast Colorado. While most of the higher terrain was impacted, these stronger winds did impact much of the southern I-25 corridor and plains. Highest wind gusts during this period were in the 80 to 100 mph range, with a report of 105 mph observed across Cheyenne Mountain.
