Via a public social media report in Madras, OR, 6 inches of new snow was recorded at 1000 PST on Dec. 11th. A trained spotter 1 mile west southwest of Redmond reported 7.3 inches of since the previous night at 1100 PST on Dec. 11th.

Wider weather episode

A deep upper level cut-off low and secondary low-level circulations resulted in bands of moderate to heavy snow developing over central Oregon on the 11th, then advecting east over Wallowa County in the overnight hours of the 11th and morning of the 12th.
