Snowfall totals across the southern portion of the county were in the 6 to 10 inch range. The highest report was 11.5 inches near Isle.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving area of low pressure moved into the western Great Lakes region on the 3rd and then lingered there through the 4th. This brought an area of snowfall to the Lake Mille Lacs area eastward in northeastern Minnesota. Snowfall totals were in the 6 to 12 inch range in this area with higher amounts to just over 18 inches in Carlton County due to lake and terrain enhancement.
