A compact and quick moving system brought snowfall to portions of northwestern South Dakota and the northern Black Hills. A band of heavy snow developed and passed across portions of Perkins, northern Meade, and Ziebach Counties during the evening, producing two to six inches of snow. Several inches of snow also fell across the higher elevations of the northern Black Hills during the late afternoon hours.
