A quick moving disturbance brought snowfall across much of west central and northwestern South Dakota. A couple of bands of heavy snow developed from the eastern slopes of the Black Hills and onto the west central South Dakota plains, producing snowfall rates of two to over three inches per hour. Snowfall totals mostly ranged from two to six inches across the area.
