Kuhio Highway was closed at the Hanalei Bridge around 8:10am due to water across the road. Later that morning Hauaala Road was closed at the Keapana Bridge due to flooding in Kapaa Stream.

Wider weather episode

An extended period of heavy rain, falling at a rate of one to two inches per hour, generated flash flooding that forced road closures for portions of Kauai.
