Emmet County started in severe drought to begin February but wet conditions persisted through the middle of the month along with some thaw. This allowed infiltration of water into the ground and improved drought conditions by the 21st.

Wider weather episode

Drought conditions remained early in the month but persistent precipitation and some thaw allowed improvement during much of February. Conditions improved with severe drought ending in these areas by February 21st.
