Pompey's Pillar and the surrounding area reported 8 inches of snow, along with blowing snow and poor visibilities.

Wider weather episode

An arctic front moved across the Billings Forecast Area. This was followed by a moist flow aloft off the Pacific. This moist flow aloft produced a multi-day overrunning snow event across the Billings Forecast area. Many locations received heavy snow accumulations. The storm impacted travel across the area. Highway 191 was closed for a period of time and a large portion of Interstate 90 was shut down for nearly a day.
