Snowfall amounts of 7 to 9 inches were reported. In addition, Interstate 90 was closed for more than 24 hours.

Wider weather episode

An arctic front moved across the Billings Forecast Area. This was followed by a moist flow aloft off the Pacific. This moist flow aloft produced a multi-day overrunning snow event across northern Wyoming. Sheridan County received heavy snow accumulations.

The storm impacted travel across the area. Interstate 90 was shut down from Sheridan to Gillette for nearly a day.
